Measurement Guidelines
Getting the measurements right for your curtains couldn't be easier! No need to worry about deductions or calculations - we'll take care of all that for you, ensuring a perfect fit every time. Just follow our straightforward guide tailored to your type of track or pole, and leave the rest to us.
We have 4 kinds of hanging header styles: Grommet、Rod Pocket,Double French Pleat and Tailored Pleat, choose the hanging header style you like.
First. Measuring the correct curtain width
When measuring for your curtains, be sure to measure the width of the curtain track or pole, not the width of the window. This measurement is crucial because we use it to determine the amount of fabric needed for your curtains. Since the width of the curtains is generally not adjustable after they're made, it's essential to provide an accurate width measurement. If installing a new track or pole, it should extend 6 inches to 10 inches beyond each side of the window and have a minimum extension of 3 inches to 6 inches above the window.
Curtain poles:
To measure for a curtain pole, just measure the width of the pole between any finials or end caps. This width is the measurement you should use.
Curtain tracks:
To measure for a standard curtain track, measure the entire width of the track. This width is the measurement you should provide.
Second, Measuring the correct curtain Length
1. For grommet and rod pocket hanging header style
Length=Measure from the very top of curtain rod to the floor
2. For Double French Pleat/ Tailored Pleat
Length = Measured from the curtain rod ring eyelet or track ring eyelet to the floor
Additionally, you can also make some adjustments to the length according to your preference?
  • 0.5 inch above the floor=(Length of curtain rod to the floor-0.5inch)
  • Kiss floor=(Length of curtain rod to the floor)
  • 1 inch Puddle=(Length of curtain rod to the floor+1 inch)

Top Tips: It's important to allow a small amount of space at the bottom of the curtains; If they drag at the bottom then they could mark or fray.

Third, confirm the fullness you want

We usually recommend a fullness of 200%~250% for the best effect. For example, if rod or track length is 100 inches, you may order 2 panels each 100 inches width for 200% fullness.

Finally, calculate your curtain dimensions using the following guidelines

1. For Grommet
Width = Rod or Track Width * Fullness(Recommend 2x fullness) / Number of Panels
Length = Measure from the very top of curtain rod to the floor
2. Rod Pocket
Width = Rod or Track Width * Fullness(Recommend 2x fullness) / Number of Panels
Length = Measure from the very top of curtain rod to the floor

3. For Double French Pleat/ Tailored Pleat

Width Before Pleats = Rod or Track Width * Fullness(Recommend 2x fullness) / Number of Panels
Length = Measured from the curtain rod ring eyelet or track ring eyelet to the floor

NOTE: If you're still unsure how to measure, please leave us a message with the width of your curtain rod/track and the height from the rod/track to the floor. We'll get back to you within 24 hours.

Why Choose Chenille Drapes?

  • Resistant: Polycotton blends are frequently used to create abrasion-resistant fabrics. Polycotton can also be washed more frequently, allowing you to use and wash more frequently without worrying about the material losing its durability as quickly as other types of clothing.
  • Less wrinkle-prone: Cotton and polyester blends make the garment less prone to piling and static. Because of its wrinkle-free properties, poly cotton does not require ironing.
  • Comfortable to the touch: It feels plush and fluffy, akin to faux cashmere, with a layered texture resembling linen. Its high density provides the desired drape and snug fit, offering a tailor-made exclusive sensation.
  • Strong Light Blocking: Thick material blocks intense sunlight in summer, safeguarding living room furniture and appliances, while also providing insulation and warmth in winter.
